yes it is possible to write engineering entrance exam at the age of 21 as one can write JEE Mains till he or she gets 25 years old. i think for all other engineering entrance examination criteria would be nearly same for age.for JEE you will be allowed to sit for the year you are appearing for class...

my self srinivas teaching Diploma and B.Tech tutions with overall experience of around 10 years.

yes u can do engineering at athe age of 21 but ur class mates will be 4 years younger than u at that time u will have some feeling that they r younger people than u that might cause an impact on studies.

General category can write up to 21 years.Diploma hoder can also go through lateral entry test and opt B.tech.

Both are good. However, please avoid institutes like Gate Forum. They will offer low tuition fee and huge discounts. However, the GATE course material is of poor quality and faculties is mostly freshers.
