Take some standard text books likes Arihant or cengage publication specially design for Engineering Entrances and do them topic by topic along your CBSE books.solve previous year papers for to get proper idea about the pattern of exams.

Hoping that you have just cleared 10th and enrolled in class 11th. Self study for enterance exams rewuires a very well planed and dedicated effort. I would recommend you to purchase postal study material of good coaching institutes as they have systematicly planned syllabus. You need not to worry much about your boards if you are devoting enough time for exnterance preperation as PCM syllabus is more or less same for both. You will be needed to practice a lot of questions. Also, join a test series and take it seriously. You may have good concepts but solving questions in a limited time frame is very different. Give as much tests as possibles, subject wise, topic wsie, mixed etc. Solve previous year questions after completion of each topic and try to analyse what type of questions are asked. first you should know all the basic concepts and practise it . and watch youtube videos which is related to topics. it is more than enough to get a decent score. And also refer the old Model Question Papers.
