Heat dissipation Disc brakes are better at managing heat, which means they experience less brake fade and have a more consistent performance. Overheating Disc brakes are less likely to overheat because of their open-air design. Cost Disc brakes are usually more expensive to repair and service than drum brakes. Force Disc brakes require more force to operate, which may make them less suitable for some applications.
