Both of these are like 2 branches of one tree, one cannot exist with another. Without using C# and only using ASP.Net you cannot create Web applications and Vice versa. Hope that helps

what is difference b/w MVC .net and other ASP.NET
mvc is latest techonology, based on model view controller design pattern, whereas asp.net is based on event deriven programming language.
