Basic JavaScript, Implementing OOPS, IIFE, jQuery Syntax, Ajax Request, DOM Manipulation using jQuery and vanilla JS. Once you start implementing things, you will have better understanding of things. For e.g. Get data via ajax and render it as a table. Try to simulate a single page app.

Microsoft Azure and .Net Trainer with total 12 years of exp

Now a days I should say "YES". People are moving towards client side scripting along with server side code hence it is important to have knowledge of JavaScript because you use lot of JavaScript library in your project like Jquery, Angular etc.
