Good Question. One can not retire with a single skill set. Companies are looking for multi skilled persons these days. So leave about future, you should have a primary skill set like asp.net MVC along with a database like Mysql or sql server, jquery, angular etc. Apart from these CRM knowledge and cloud knowledge gives you edge over others. Data Science is also future of next generation. This is not different from what you are calling Asp.Net, it is a subject can be used in Asp.Net also.
