I generally start from basics without assuming that the students are knowing something or the other about the topic. It's not necessary to just revise the topic rather giving indepth knowledge is essential. I take revision time of 5-10 minutes before starting everyday class and regularly revise important topics. Tests are also being conducted just to test myself whether I am giving them upto the mark understanding of lessons.
