Uday Varma Kuruba

I have been training and mentoring students for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and other State Public Service Commission exams for the past one year. My own journey as a UPSC aspirant has been intense and deeply educational, and I bring that firsthand experience into every class I conduct.

I’ve appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination three times, successfully qualifying the Prelims each time. In 2024, I am set to appear for the UPSC Mains, which marks a critical milestone in my journey. In addition to UPSC, I’ve also cleared the Group 1 and Group 2 Prelims for the Deputy Collector post in Andhra Pradesh, and I’ve already written the Group 1 Mains, the results of which are awaited.

What sets my teaching apart is my practical understanding of exam strategy, gained not only through personal attempts but also through mentoring peers. Three of my close study partners have cleared Group 2 Services in Andhra Pradesh this year and are currently in the certificate verification stage. Being part of their preparation and success has given me valuable insights into what actually works during preparation—and I use that experience to shape my teaching.

I conduct all my sessions online to reach students across India, offering flexibility and accessibility. My teaching style is interactive and concept-focused—I don’t believe in rote learning. I encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and engage deeply with the syllabus.

To make learning effective, I use PowerPoint presentations, video resources, and visual aids during sessions. I also provide well-structured notes that align with the UPSC and state exam patterns. These materials are tailored to simplify difficult topics and save valuable time during revisions.
