I am a dedicated Kathak dancer and teacher, trained in the esteemed Pandit Birju Maharaj Parampara, and I teach in the authentic and traditional style of the Lucknow Gharana of Kathak. With a strong foundation in classical dance, I focus on preserving the grace, expression, and technical depth that define this beautiful art form. My classes are open to both beginners and intermediate-level students who are passionate about learning Kathak in a structured and traditional way. I offer 45 minutes to 1 hour sessions, which can be conducted as one-to-one private classes or group classes, depending on the student’s preference. In my sessions, I emphasize basic techniques, footwork (tatkaar), rhythm (laya), expressions (abhinaya), and choreographies, while ensuring that each student learns with clarity, discipline, and enjoyment. My aim is to guide students step by step so that they can develop confidence, strong technique, and a deep understanding of Kathak.
