Sonika S. - PGT, M. Phil Physics Teacher with 16 years of experience of teaching Physics .

I teach Physics and Science to students from Classes 8 to 10 and have around 16 years of teaching experience. Over the years, I have worked with students with different learning abilities and have helped them improve their conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and academic performance. My primary focus is to make Science and Physics easier to understand by explaining concepts clearly and connecting them with practical applications.

I believe that students should understand a concept rather than simply memorize information for an examination. I therefore focus on building a strong foundation and explaining topics step by step. I also help students prepare for examinations, assess their progress regularly, and clear their doubts so that they can approach their academics with greater confidence.

I have completed my M.Sc. in Physics, M.Phil, and B.Ed. These qualifications have provided me with a strong academic foundation in Physics along with professional training in education and teaching. My academic background has helped me develop a structured approach to explaining scientific concepts, while my teaching experience has helped me understand how to communicate these concepts according to different students’ learning needs.

One of my key academic achievements was being the topper of my B.Ed. batch at Dayalbagh Educational Institute. I was awarded the Director’s Medal in recognition of my academic performance. This achievement reflects my commitment to academic excellence and my dedication to developing myself in the field of education.

My teaching methodology focuses on clear explanations, active participation, and interactive learning. I start topics from the basics and gradually move towards more advanced concepts, ensuring that students understand each stage before progressing further. Wherever possible, I use real-life examples and practical applications to make Physics and Science more relatable and easier to understand.

I also use technology to make my online classes more engaging and organized. I create presentations, worksheets, quizzes, and interactive activities using tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Kahoot, and Google Forms. These resources allow me to vary the way concepts are presented and give students additional opportunities to practise and assess their understanding.

My objective is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in the lesson. I want my students to develop strong conceptual understanding, improve their problem-solving skills, and become more confident in Science and Physics. With my teaching experience and academic background, I aim to provide structured, engaging, and student-friendly learning support.
