I am a professional Kathak dancer and teacher based in New Delhi. I am a disciple of renowned Guru Pandit Jai Kishan Maharaj, the elder son of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj, Pandit Deepak Maharaj, and Guru Malti Shyam. I am a scholarship holder from Sahitya Kala Parishad, Govt. of Delhi, and have performed in many festivals nationally and internationally. I hold a Diploma(Hons) (First Division) in Kathak from Kathak Kendra and a Masters degree in Arts and Aesthetics, from Jawaharlal Nehru University. I have performed extensively in my Guruâ??s choreographic productions and also perform as a Kathak soloist. I am the Co-Founder of a company called Amaltas Curations, which works on organising events and dialogue around the arts.
I am soft spoken, polite and very patient with students. I gel very easily with children, and have specialized experience in teaching working adults and students with busy schedules. I am flexible with time and provide customized classes.
I live with my husband in Lajpat Nagar, where I also have my studio.

I have been learning Kathak from Siddhi for almost 6 months now, and the journey up till now has been absolutely fabulous. I had no prior experience of learning Kathak before this, but the way Siddhi welcomed me into this art form was beautiful. Her patience towards the whole process and her students is amazing. While learning such an elegant yet complicated art form , it is easy to get demotivated at times, but Siddhi encouraged me at every point, there was not a moment where i felt I could not do it. Her soft spoken, empathetic nature and her willingness to give more every time makes her a wonderful Teacher .
