Sam Ghosh

I did phd in chemistry in 1998 from the indian institute of science, bangalore. Then I went to germany, france, usa and canada as a visiting scientist. After returning to india in 2008, I joined a college and taught various topics in chemistry. I feel that many good students after school are not pursuing chemistry in higher education perhaps due to bad teaching at school level and the stereotype impression amongst vast majority of students that chemistry is boring because it involves too much of rote learning.
I am of the opinion that if I could teach chemistry in my unique, refreshing style at school level, then I am sure it will change the prevalent mindset about chemistry and more brighter students will opt for a career in chemistry which will benefit our government (csir, drdo etc) and private r&d labs.
