To tell in simple terms i must say that when a liquid (or fluid) flows its different layers resist each other's motion. This resistance (or u may say internal friction) among layers of a fluid during its motion is known as viscosity.
One can think of vioscosity as analogous to resistivity in electricity.

viscosity is a property which cant be measured but the effect can be measured in terms of viscous drag (resistive force) has SI Unit "newton" (N) while i guess u are asking SI unit of coefficient of Viscosity (η) : It has an SI unit : poiseiulle (Pl) also decapoise
1poiseiulle (Pl) = 10 poise(CGS unit) [also known as decapoise]
