• Pursuing Hindustani classical vocals full time since 2015 years. Teaching hindustani classical vocals since 7 years. Educational background in music- Learnt khayal for 3.5 years from banaras gharana in guru shishya parampara. Where i was introducted to the classical music and it's pioneers. Realised that there is so much more to music inside india beside the indian cinematic music. Found out that how important role classical music training plays in every genre of indian music. Learnt and got to know about so many ragas and how to define a raga in a classical, folk and filmy music as well. The differences between classical and semi classical and filmy music.
• Started learning Dhrupad music which is most ancient form of Indian music in 2018 and still continuing my vocal training from the Dhrupad Maestros Padmashree Gundecha brothers at Dhrupad Gurukul Bhopal. Exploring so many things like the voice culture, the sound and how to use the music for self exploration. Not just making music a profession, how to make it a lifestyle.

This is a very good age for her to start. Please prefer to go for Indian classical music training because that is more systematic and productive to learn singing rather than just learning bollywood songs.

Also give your kid time of couple of years to get mature enough to show the growth she has made in that time. Please be kind and try not to judge a lot if she is able to a lot of progress or not. Let her just enjoy doing music first. Then gradually music will be added to her lifestyle.

I am sharing this with my personal teaching experience with my kid students.
