I like to connect concepts with real-life examples so children can understand and visualise them better—for example, explaining how fold mountains are formed by using a folded carpet or cloth. I also let children make mistakes because I believe errors are an important part of learning. I first build their basics and then gradually move to problem-solving, brainstorming and higher-level concepts according to their pace.

For instance, while teaching Geography/Science concepts like how mountains are formed, I use simple real-life analogies—like pushing and folding a carpet to visually explain crustal folding and tectonic movements. Secondly, I encourage students to make mistakes during practice sessions. I believe mistakes are the stepping stones to learning. When students analyze their own errors, their foundational basics become crystal clear. Once their core basics are strong, they naturally and gradually gain confidence to solve tougher and higher-level problems on their own."

For instance, while learning about motion and forces, students can easily relate to why we jerk backward when a car suddenly starts, or how a water glass spun 360 degrees doesn't spill due to circular motion. Similarly, in other topics, instead of forced memorization, I help children visually connect basic concepts—like understanding how 50% is simply one-half (1/2) by relating fractions and percentages to real-life situations. My overall teaching philosophy focuses on building an open environment where students are encouraged to make mistakes during practice. I believe that when children analyze and correct their own errors, their foundational basics become crystal clear. Once their core understanding is strong, they naturally and gradually gain the confidence to solve tougher, more complex problems on their own.
