Teaching Experience in detail in BA Tuition
Teaching here goes beyond the text book discussion. Novels and theories of English literature brings in the various perspective to dwell into discussions and research on real life happening. Literature allows us to look into various aspects of a society, a story and how deeply it is connected to the contemporary life. It not only narrates a story of an individual or a community but, represents a whole era. Jane Austen's pride prejudice was not only about the Bennets family but about the possible options for women. Charles Dickens's Hard time was a very well depiction of the industrialised England. William Blake's chimney sweeper and the tyger was a critique on the London society. The list goes on. I teach literature with critical analysis. Considering it's political, historical and cultural history in the background. Literary theories have been always a part of my teaching. Bringing in the post structuralist, post modernist, Marxist, feminist, post colonial and etc. Perspectives in analysis.
