I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) at the University of Delhi and have completed a BA (Honours) in Psychology. I am gaining practical teaching experience through my internship at a government school, where I work with primary-grade students and develop my understanding of children's learning needs, classroom interactions, and effective teaching practices. My teaching experience focuses on creating an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for students in Classes I-V. I am particularly interested in teaching English, Mathematics, Hindi, and Environmental Studies (EVS), with a special focus on developing English literacy, phonetic reading, vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills. During my school internship, I have gained experience in planning lessons, explaining concepts, preparing teaching-learning materials (TLMs), conducting classroom activities, and interacting with young learners. I aim to make learning enjoyable and meaningful by connecting concepts with children's everyday experiences. For example, I use stories, rhymes, picture cards, games, real-life objects, and hands-on activities to develop understanding rather than encouraging rote memorization. My teaching methodology is child-centered and activity-based. I believe every child learns at a different pace and has unique strengths and learning needs. Therefore, I try to provide clear explanations, relatable examples, guided practice, and opportunities for students to ask questions, express their ideas, and learn from their mistakes. In Mathematics, I encourage the use of concrete materials and practical examples to explain numbers, shapes, measurements, and basic operations. In English, I focus on phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary building, grammar, and spoken language through interactive exercises and storytelling. In EVS, I connect classroom concepts with children's surroundings, family, school, nature, and community. My academic background in Psychology helps me understand children's behavior, interests, motivation, and individual differences. Additionally, my certification in Multilingual Pedagogy for Teachers (MultiPed) supports my understanding of using children's familiar languages as a bridge to learning. My NCERT certification in ICT tools also encourages me to explore digital resources, educational videos, presentations, quizzes, and interactive learning activities to make online tuition engaging. As a tutor, I aim to build a positive teacher-student relationship based on trust, patience, encouragement, and respect. I believe that regular practice, constructive feedback, and communication with parents can support children's academic progress. My goal is to strengthen foundational skills, build confidence, encourage curiosity, and help students develop a genuine interest in learning while progressing at their own pace.
