Future Fit

We asked many parents about their kids' daily routine these days. We were not surprised to learn that the tiny tots are usually spending time with maids who are not trained to help them exercise or work towards building new skills. Similarly our little adults are spending most or all of their after-school time indoors engaging with a range of electronic devices.

We sensed that such routines which include little or no exercise are very wrong for healthy child growth and development. We found that several studies around the world have proven that children's routines involving excessive time spent indoors with no exercise have led to poor health, poor performance in school (both academics and extra curricular), lethargy, increased obesity, reclusive behavior outside the virtual world, poor social interaction and concern for others, weak eyesight, eating and sleep disorders, attention disorders, depression, etc., among children. While this is a cause of much worry to some parents; often being caught up in their own busy schedules they find little or no options to bring about any real change for their child.
