Children learn more from what they see than from what you tell. Engage yourself with him in the activities you want him to be patient & show him by example; explain ( but a Little) & still don't expect them to be as patient as yourself. Whenever he shows even 10% more patience - tell him, "good/shaabaash... ...more

  • Engage yourself with him in the activities you want him to be patient & show him by example; explain ( but a Little) & still don't expect them to be as patient as yourself.
  • Whenever he shows even 10% more patience - tell him, "good/shaabaash - you tried to be more patient".
  • Don't expect magic within a week, but you will see a significant improvement within a month.
  • Psychologists say a change in temperament needs at least six months, but I guarantee you, within three months, it will be more than any psychologist would expect in 6 months!
  • Everyone knows about reward & punishment, but primarily rewards are highly underutilised (in homes/institutes).
