How to read an article, pull out the main points, and understand the content. How to treat themselves and those around them. In order to reach every single student, I have to prepare differentiated lessons. I have to make sure they all understand the lesson. But my focus isn't science, or language arts. My focus is on my student. It is not important what I think about my teaching. It is vitally important that I do my best and love the children that are in my care for the year and explain as clearly as possible the material we are to cover while remembering that I am teaching children who have feelings and do best when encouraged. I like to think that my job was to be a spoke in a wheel. The student is the hub of the wheel and all of the teachers are the spokes who make strong the journey.
