I come from a strong academic background in Economics. I completed my M.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics from Kurukshetra University with 92%, and my B.Sc. (Hons.) in Economics with 73% from the same university. So Economics has always been my core strength and genuine passion.
Beyond academics, I have around 5 years of professional experience across research and programme coordination roles.
I worked as a Research Assistant under ICSSR at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, where I was involved in project execution, data compilation, and drafting financial reports. I also coordinated educational outreach and awareness campaigns, which gave me a lot of experience communicating complex information in a clear, accessible way — something I feel is very important in teaching as well.
Before that, I worked in a similar research capacity at Kurukshetra University, supporting academic teams with documentation, coordination, and reporting.
One of my most significant experiences was managing the ISA Asia-Pacific Conference in Tokyo — an international academic event with over 700 attendees. I handled everything from session scheduling and speaker coordination to on-site problem solving. That experience really built my confidence in managing high-pressure situations and communicating with diverse audiences.
On the technical side, I'm proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and I have hands-on experience with data tracking, report writing, and budget documentation.
I'm fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, which I feel is a real advantage when connecting with students from different backgrounds.
So overall, my combination of deep subject knowledge, research experience, and strong communication skills is what defines my professional journey so far.
