Personal Reflective Essay Style My Experience of Teaching Mathematics to Class 11 Teaching Mathematics to Class 11 has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my journey as an educator. At this level, students face the challenge of transitioning from basic school-level mathematics to more advanced concepts such as calculus, probability, and coordinate geometry. Guiding them through this transition gave me immense satisfaction. I always believed that building a strong foundation was the key to success in Mathematics. Therefore, I explained every topic step by step, often starting with simple examples before introducing abstract theories. Many students found topics like limits and derivatives difficult, but with patient explanation and repeated practice, they gained confidence. Problem-solving formed the heart of my teaching. I encouraged students to practice a wide variety of questions and to analyze different methods of arriving at the same solution. This not only improved their accuracy but also taught them logical reasoning and time management, essential for board exams and competitive tests. The most fulfilling part of my experience was seeing students who once feared Mathematics begin to enjoy it. Their progress from hesitation to confidence reminded me why I chose teaching as a profession. This experience not only enhanced my teaching skills but also deepened my love for the subject and my belief that Mathematics is not just about numbers, but about thinking, reasoning, and creativity.

I have a long experience of about 32 years of class room teaching of subjects -Mathematics and Physics to senior classes X, XI and XII with remarkably good results and more than 10+ years as Principal of a Senior Secondary School. In all more than 30 years with schools and education system. Notably, I have also taught in USA, South Carolina in McCormick High school. I have also successfully clear PRAXIES-I and II level exam from USA, which is teaching certification examination conducted by US Govt. I have a wide and clear idea about the education system at US, the State Standards and the process of enrollment in various courses there. I have been associated with CBSE at various stages such as – subject expert, evaluation centre superintendent, CCE Committee and CCE mentor for three schools for a period of three years appointed by CBSE.
