The level of class 11th is quite high as compared to that of class 10th. Even those students who have secured very good marks in class 10th find class 11th to be difficult. Above this all most all engineering and medical aspirants join a coaching institute which prepares them for the entrance exams. Joining a coaching institute has become a necassity because the competetion at this level is very high and also because school studies are not sufficient for entrance exam preparation.

Once a student joins a coaching institute, school studies are more or less neglected. Most institutes do not teach the basics and they are focussed only on the entrance exams. This makes it difficult for the students since their basics are not clear. They get confused and are neither able to concentrate on school nor on the entrance exam coaching. Many students start taking private tutions for school and CBSE.
