I am Avani Binish, an experienced tutor with a Master's degree in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. I have been a tutor for almost an year now. I have also qualified UGC-NET in Sociology.

The educator's role is to identify that there is a diversity of students in the class and every student comes from different kind of experiences. As a facilitator, I would like to make this learning platform more accessible and safe space for the student to study, clarify their doubts and ask more questions to keep the passion for learning going forward. I would also like to help and facilitate the students with their assignments and class work taking into consideration every attention to detail. As Paulo Freire puts it - "Whoever teaches learns in the act of teaching, and whoever learns teaches in the act of learning". I have been a Social Science student all my life and one never ceases to learn new things everyday. Even a small doubt open up opportunities to learning new things and new theorizations. So learning never stops anytime. Social Sciences deals with humans and their inter and intra personal relationships with environment, different structures and social organizations, and social relations. A study of social sciences need a holistic study taking into consideration every aspect of a matter at hand and I want to concentrate on this very aspect of multidisciplinary approach into my teaching. Apart from Sociology, I can teach History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Gender and Psychology. Let's embark on a transformative learning journey together.
