I have significant experience in teaching Class 8 students, particularly in Social Science and English, both in schools and in private/group tuition. During my tenure at Army Public School, Shankar Vihar, I taught Class 8 students for one academic year. My focus was on building strong conceptual clarity in History, Geography, and Civics while also improving students’ reading comprehension, grammar, and writing skills in English. I used interactive methods such as map activities, debates, and storytelling to make the subjects engaging and relatable. Later, at Mehta Vidyalaya, Patel Chowk, I again taught Class 8 Social Science and English for one year. There, I emphasized regular practice tests, writing assignments, and doubt-clearing sessions, which greatly improved students’ exam performance and overall confidence. In addition to classroom teaching, I have conducted one-on-one and group tuitions for Class 8 students for several years. This has given me a insight into the unique challenges students face at this level—especially managing the transition from middle school to secondary level. My approach combines discipline with encouragement, focusing on exam preparation while also nurturing analytical thinking and communication skills. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I successfully handled online tuition classes, using digital platforms like Zoom and Google Meet. I designed PPT-based lessons, quizzes, and online tests, which helped maintain high engagement and consistent results even in a virtual environment. Overall, I bring patience, clarity, and adaptability to my Class 8 teaching, ensuring that students not only score well but also develop a genuine interest in learning.
