The reason is you practised English as a subject, now treat it as a language instead of reading focus on listening and speaking. Initially, you will make mistakes; it's not a problem the more you will talk more you will be able to speak correctly.
Notice how a child learns his mother tongue, it's by listening and initially speaking sentences and words which makes no sense, however later within a year he starts talking it correctly.
