Divya S.

I have been teaching students for the past 11 years, and over this time, I have had the opportunity to work with learners from different age groups, academic levels, and learning abilities. I teach students from Class 1 to 5 in all subjects, while for Classes 6 to 10, I mainly focus on English and Biology. My experience has helped me understand that every student learns differently, and I believe in creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their doubts.

For younger students, I focus on building a strong academic foundation across subjects. I believe that the concepts learned during the primary years play an important role in a student's future academic journey. I therefore try to make lessons simple, engaging, and easy to follow. For students in Classes 6 to 10, I particularly enjoy teaching English and Biology, where I focus on helping students understand concepts clearly rather than simply memorising information.

I have completed my Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), which has provided me with professional training in teaching methodologies, classroom management, and effective learning practices. My academic background and teaching experience have helped me develop a structured yet flexible approach to teaching. I plan my lessons according to the student's level, syllabus, and learning requirements.

I generally use lesson plans to organise my classes and make sure that the important concepts are covered systematically. I also conduct interactive sessions where students can participate, ask questions, discuss concepts, and practise what they have learned. I use digital teaching tools such as PPT presentations and a whiteboard to make explanations more visual and easier to understand.

Over the years, I have worked with students who have different learning speeds and academic requirements. I understand that some students may need additional explanation and practice, while others may be ready to move ahead more quickly. I therefore adjust my pace and teaching method according to the student's understanding and continuously focus on improving their confidence.

I have also received the Best Teacher Award twice from my school in recognition of my dedication, teaching effectiveness, and contribution to students' academic growth. This recognition has been a meaningful achievement for me and has motivated me to continue learning and improving as an educator.

My goal as a teacher is not only to help students score better marks but also to develop their understanding, curiosity, confidence, and interest in learning. I want my students to become independent learners who are comfortable with their subjects and confident enough to approach challenging topics. I look forward to helping students achieve their academic goals through consistent guidance, practice, and personalised teaching.
