As we all know, martial arts is a combination of various forms of self-defence, usually weaponless, based on techniques developed in ancient China, India, and Tibet. In modern times they have come into wide use for self-protection, as competitive sports, and for exercise. Marital dance is an amalgamation of defence arts like tai chi, taek won do and dance arts. It is a contact technique and framework that is taught by sharing the teachings of Tai Chi or Ba Gua. The basic premise of the frame is to practice self-awareness, continuous physical listening, and also having physical integrity in dynamic contexts. Moreover, studying the relationship of intention to the dysfunctional attachment and practising awareness of the fundamental reality of lack of control. It develops the physical and mental discipline to achieve self-awareness and expression during movement. Some Asian martial arts evolved from the ritual dances or exercises intended to relieve tension caused by hours of meditation. For example, Capoeira, a martial art which originated from Brazil contains elements of dance, music and acrobatics. It is known for its fast kicks and movements. One of the most celebrated mixed martial artists of all time, Anderson Silva is a practitioner of Capoeira. Conor Mcgregor and Jose Aldo utilize Capoeira in their fighting style too. I hope this helps. read less
