An absolute yes. Basics are just like getting accustomed with the Gadget and Techniques behind the operation. Basic Course enables one to learn about the key aspects of Photography especially with respect to the exposure parameters. Photography is all about capturing lights and shadows. With out Basic training, one cannot handle the Art. So it is quite essential to learn from the Basics.

Understanding the exposure triangle is the key of Mastering the Art. Right exposure can be achieved only when you learn about the Triangle. Aperture, Shutter speed and ISO have their own results when the values are changed. To get the right mix of highlights and shadows, combinations of these 3 values need to be correct. Almost all the Basic course module give prominence to the Expo Triangle.
