Those land line phones are wired phones. But cellular phones are "mobile", that means you can take it to any place. Now, since you can take it to many places, you can make or recieve call from them while moving or while being mobile, on a network. Thus they are called Mobile phones. They are not static like the land line phone in your house. read less
