in OR { i.e (+) plus } operation any variable add with 1 it result always 1.. and similarly in AND { i.e (.) dot} operation if 0 comes it always result 0.

in digital logic "+" sign of boolean means "or" so "1+y" means "1" because in boolean "1" is for true "0" is for false.here either "y" can be "0" or "1" if we are talking only about digital logic not fuzzy logic. so "1+y" means either "True + false" Or "True+True" in both the cases answer is "True"so...
