Instead of making elaborative notes prepare key points of the topics while studying and for processes or mechanisms, prepare flowcharts or diagrametic representations; and for mathematical formulae, chalk down them on a piece of paper and look at it once everyday. These things will help u in getting thorough knowledge of the topic, will make your revision easier and most importantly, while attempting exams u will be prepared the important points u should mention.
