I f presence of H atom makes an organic compound acidic ,then why is methane having 4 H atoms not acid while formic acid with only 2 H atom is acid?
Mere presence of hydrogen atom doesn't make substance acidic, that hydrogen must be ionizable means substance should be able to loose H ATOM as H+ ion and this in turn depends upon the nature of the bond....
