It is inside the circle, because (-3.5)2+(4.5)2 is less than 49. that means if you put the point on the left hand side of given equation, and the value becomes less than the right hand side, then the point is inside.

it lies inside because if u put the point in the left hand side of the equation, it will give less value than 49.

Inside the circle. If if substitute x=-3.5 and y=4.5, the value of x^2 + y^2 equate to be 32.5. This is less than 49. Therefore the point lie inside the circle.

Inside the circle because through the point (- 3.5, 4.5) the measurement of radius will be 5.70 which less than 7.

put this point in the equation if less then 49 then inside if equal to 49 then on the circle and if greater then 49 then outside circle.

To get an idea geometrically, let us see the problem like this:- The radius of this circle is 7 units and origin is at (0,0). So, The point (-3.5,4.5) lies inside the circle. Formally the method to prove it would be as follows:- Let us put the coordinates of the given point in the LHS of the equation...

Formally the method to prove it would be as follows:- Let us put the coordinates of the given point in the LHS of the equation of the circle. (-3.5)^2 + (4.5)^2 =12.25 + 20.25 = 32.5. which is less than the RHS = 49 Therefore, the point lies inside the circle. read less
