Hi Kiran, I think its not bainary fusion but it is binary fission. Binary fission, is a form of asexual reproduction and cell division used by all prokaryotes (bacteria and archaebacteria), and some organelles within eukaryotic organisms (e.g., mitochondria). This process results in the reproduction of a living cell (or organelle) by dividing into two parts such that each have the potential to grow to the size of the original cell (or organelle). This type of division takes place without the formation of spindles. The single DNA molecule first replicates, then attaches each copy to a different part of the cell membrane. When the cell begins to divide, the replicated and original chromosomes are separated. The consequence of this asexual method of reproduction is that all the cells are genetically identical, meaning that they have the same genetic material. read less

Dear Kiran, binary fusion is a term that has lost significance over time. As you might be knowing that in their base form, the words fusion and fission mean combination and division respectively. When you prefix the term 'binary' to either of them, you set the condition that the result has the base value of 2. In case of binary fusion, the original unit won't combine with another unit unless the result would have both (like 2 combines with 2 resulting in 4 but 3 combining with 3 to form 6 is not the same). In case of binary fission, the original unit divides or splits into equal parts again to the base of 2 (like 8 into 4 and then to 2). read less
