The best grammar book I have ever seen is "Longman's Grammar of spoken and written English". Teaching English grammer is an art and the best way to teach is to make students understand grammar is by relating day to day activities to actual grammar concepts

My students have found this site very encouraging because they read the transcript as the audio is played simultaneously. The student will understand how plain simple English is spoken with word stress, intonation, pausing and inflection. You will never find any typos or grammatical mistakes.
