in present simple tense, if the subject is 3rd person singular number then s/es is added with verb. but when is 's' added with verb and 'es' added with verb?

S/es is only Added with a verb when subject is singular and third person pronoun...but there is an exception that I is singular but we can't add s/es with verb..
