Solve : x + y = 18; y + z = 12; z + x = 16
Let x+y=18---(1), y+z=12---(2),z+x=16---(3) Solving (2)-(3) we get y+z-z-x=12-16 y-x=-4--(4) Solving (4)+(5) we get x+y+y-x=18-4 2y=14 y=14/2=7 Substitute y value in (1) x+7=18 x=18-7=11 Substitute x value in (3) z+11=16 z=16-11=5 x=11, y=7, z=5
