By learning the subject smartly. Most people don't have strong basics and they try to learn the things of advance levels. So it's very much needed for someone to have good basics, so that he/she don't have to struggle with the advance concepts.

Know the syllabus clearly. Try and solve the questions at the end of each topic and also the last ten years' papers. Highlight important points. Maintain separate notebooks for each subject
