How many squares are there in a chess board?

Simple- n (n+1)(2n+1)/6

Put  n=8 as there are 8 row/column

 so we get 8*9*17/6= 204 squares

Lik and comment to know how many rectangles are there in a chess board

Als the above formula is formula for finding sum of squares of first n no.s .
