Distance covered as Sh. Jaganshyam is ok i.e 125.6cm. But displacement is equal to the Diameter of the wheel i.e. 40x2= 80cm that is the distance from one pt. to another pt.

Yes , its a wheel. But the ant has crawled half the rotation. So, the distance will be 2*Pi*radius / 2 = Pi * r = 3.14*40CM= 125.60cm. But the displacement will be 2R = 80cm.

Distance is about 126 cm, as indicated in the above two replies. The displace is the length of the line joining the initial and final points, which is nothing but the diameter of the wheel. So, the displacement is 80 cm.
