According BODMAS rule,the order of precedence of arithmetic operators are divisions,multiplication,addition and at last subtraction.So the final of the question is 2+2*2-2=4 you can use brackets for your simplicity and easy understanding ie, (2+(2*2))-2=(2+4)-2=6-2=4
