Joining coaching for IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology) preparation in Class 8 is not a common practice, and it might be considered too early for most students. Typically, serious and focused IIT JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) preparation begins during the later years of high school, generally in Classes 11 and 12. Here are some considerations to keep in mind: Foundational Knowledge: In Class 8, the focus should be on building a strong foundation in fundamental subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. A solid understanding of basic concepts is crucial before diving into the more advanced topics covered in IIT JEE. Age and Maturity: Class 8 students are quite young, and the pressure of IIT JEE preparation may not be suitable for their age and maturity level. It's important to strike a balance between academic pursuits and overall well-being. Changing Interests: Students' interests and career goals may evolve as they progress through school. Starting IIT JEE preparation too early may limit exploration of other fields and interests. Social and Emotional Development: Class 8 is a crucial time for social and emotional development. It's important for students to engage in a variety of activities, including sports, arts, and other extracurriculars, to develop a well-rounded personality. School Curriculum: Focusing on excelling in the school curriculum and participating in math and science Olympiads can be more appropriate at this stage. If you are interested in IIT JEE in the future, consider beginning serious preparation during Classes 11 and 12. In the earlier years, concentrate on building a strong academic foundation, exploring your interests, and maintaining a healthy balance between studies and other activities. read less
