Greatest writer in English, as quoted by almost everyone here, William Shakespeare. Reasons- His stature overshadows his successors justly. He is the greatest writer of all times, his greatness defies geographical and temporal boundaries. “He was not of an age but for all time!”~ Ben Jonson on The Bard.
