It's not the quantity of hours, but the quality of study hours that matters. Ideally, you can study about 3 hours (if you have school everyday) and 6 hours if you don't have school.
Space your study hours like 3 hours in the morning and the remaining in the evening. Don't sit for a strech.

You need to understand how much your mind can focus so if your mind can focus not more than 2 hours you cannot study more than that you need to stop take a break and restart again. If you try to study past your limits the effort goes in vain. It's better to study have breaks and then again study. Over-all you can study till the point where you can fully concentrate without getting distracted.
