Mass communication is ensured by reaching to a large number of people. Radio and Television are used by both rural and urban area. They can be used by literate as well as illiterate people. Thus, they are quite effective in spreading information to mass public in a very short time.

Democracy gives us the right of expression through our fundamental rights as propounded in our constitution. Mass media plays a major role here. So far radio and television are concerned they are the most effective means of maas media. Every individual is aware of his or her right it's all because of the awareness spread through Radio and Television. These days main products of commercial purposes as well as of individual use are advertised through these medium fetching maximum attention and creates buyers in the market. Simultaneously the government schemes and plans are also advertised through these media I.e. Sachcha bharat abhiyan, family planning ad, no drug, anti smoking ads are good example of govt promoting through radio and television successfully. So we're can sawar in a democratic country like india Radio and Television are indispensable source of information and awareness and best example of freedom to expression. read less
