"Democracy is seen to be good principle but felt to be not good in practice,"this is true to a great extent. Since in democracy the principles and theories are well defined but since the real power rests in the hands of people and thence the principles become flexible. So far as the principles of monarchy and dictatorship are concerned there is no participation required of the people so the rules are immediately implemented without delay. The government can easily implement and run any scheme and plan without the fear of rejection by the people, this practical approach is missing in democracy as most of the good principles in theory may not be acceptable to the people and they may not let the government work efficiently. read less
