I want to learn Contemporary dance but haven't taken any classes earlier can I learn the dance form now as it needs lot of flexibility 

Dear, it's never late when it comes to dancing. It only depends on your will power and willing to learn the dance. If you want to learn contemporary dance form, then it needs flexibility. But, flexibility is not the rule to start this particular dance form. Flexibility can be achieved with dance choreography and regular exercises as well because you can ask your trainer to start with that choreography. First, you will learn specific contemporary dance and 2nd your will be gaining flexibility itself in the form of dance choreography, so go ahead and take the new classes. I am a senior dance choreographer and contemporary is one of my specialisation dance forms so I can quickly tell you that go ahead and learn with dedication. For example, your dance class timing is 1 hour, you warm up first 20-30 minutes so that your body will adapt choreography quickly because exercises will make your body hungry for dancing. Hi Mahima, I personally feel that if you are actually determined to learn something then age should not be a barrier. As far as you are confident, you can learn Contemporary or for that matter any form of dance at any age. I suggest you can give it a try. If you dont try you will never whether you can or not.
