My initial experience with teaching was providing lecture-based instruction in the school environment. The module that I taught had over one hundred students, so it was important to have several efficient teaching sessions. However, before I plunged into the teaching activities, there were some preparatory steps that I undertook. I prepared a teaching plan that was a guideline for my session. The preparation of the plan itself was a learning process. I discovered that one has to be clear on the objective of the topic, the content of the lecture, the mode of delivery to be used, and how the delivery will benefit the student.
