I am a passionate Bharatanatyam practitioner and aspiring dance educator with 9 years of experience in learning and performing one of India's most graceful classical dance forms. Bharatanatyam has been an integral part of my life, teaching me discipline, dedication, and the beauty of artistic expression. Although I am new to professional teaching, I am committed to sharing my knowledge with students through patient guidance, structured training, and an encouraging learning environment that helps them appreciate and master this timeless art form.

I hold a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biotechnology, reflecting my strong academic background and commitment to continuous learning. Alongside my academic qualifications, I completed a Diploma in Bharatanatyam from Bharathidasan University in 2024. To further deepen my understanding of classical dance, I am currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Bharatanatyam from Annamalai University. This combination of academic excellence and artistic training enables me to approach teaching with both discipline and creativity.

Over the past nine years, I have consistently practiced Bharatanatyam and participated in various cultural programs and stage performances. These experiences have helped me develop a strong foundation in technique, rhythm, expressions, posture, and stage presentation. One of the highlights of my journey was performing at an international conference held in Bangalore, where I had the opportunity to showcase my skills before a wider audience. I have also received certificates recognizing my achievements and participation in Bharatanatyam, which continue to inspire me to grow as an artist.

I conduct online Bharatanatyam classes, making it convenient for students from different locations to learn at their own pace. My sessions are designed to provide individual attention and a comfortable learning environment where students can gradually build confidence while developing the essential techniques of classical dance. I encourage regular practice, consistency, and discipline, as these are the foundations of becoming a skilled Bharatanatyam performer.

My teaching approach focuses on helping students develop a strong foundation through step-by-step practical training. I emphasize correct body posture, footwork, hand gestures (Mudras), facial expressions (Abhinaya), rhythm, and coordination while ensuring that every concept is taught with patience and clarity. I also prepare students for Bharatanatyam grade examinations by providing structured guidance based on the prescribed syllabus, helping them build the confidence and skills required to perform successfully in their examinations.

My goal is to inspire students to appreciate the richness of Bharatanatyam while developing their artistic abilities with confidence and discipline. I believe that classical dance is not just about learning movements but also about cultivating focus, cultural understanding, self-expression, and inner confidence. Through dedicated guidance and continuous encouragement, I strive to help every student enjoy the learning journey and grow into a confident and graceful Bharatanatyam performer.
